We received donations of 60 128-cell flats, mainly leafy greens, planted and germination looks great. Victor, Louis, and Orlando have finished building and leveling the beds in the greenhouse, and we will be filling them today with soil and compost.
John and I have laid drip line on the field and we will be finishing the irrigation structure today and doing the test run. We picked drip line because it is the most cost effective and targeted irrigation system for what we will be growing, decreasing the amount of weed production and increasing efficiency with water.
We have already started planting the peas and beets that will be the first crop for that field. We have been able to obtain a seeding machine which will make seeding the field much faster.
